Do Not Get Lost in the Same Thought

Thinking is useful when it helps you understand, decide, or act. Notice when it only takes you around the same circle.

There are decisions that deserve careful thought. Taking time to consider them is useful. But sometimes we keep revisiting the same concern without learning anything new. I think it helps to pause and ask what is actually needed. More information? Another perspective? A small experiment? A decision we are reluctant to make? You do not have to force an answer immediately. You can give your thinking a clearer purpose and decide when you will return to it.
