Your Response Is Part of What Comes Next

What happens to you matters. How you respond can help shape what happens next.

I would never suggest that difficult circumstances do not matter. They can change our plans, our options, and the way we feel about our future. But within some circumstances, there is still a response we can influence. Perhaps it is asking for help, setting a boundary, gathering information, or taking time before deciding. We do not have to control the whole situation to make one thoughtful choice within it.
